TRAINING

The NCCPSS Approved Courses are state‑reviewed trainings authorized by the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services. Each Approved Course includes 50 hours of instruction—40 hours in person and 10 hours of pre‑work or homework.

To enroll, participants must meet CPSS eligibility requirements:

• 18+ years old
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges
• At least one year in recovery
• High school diploma or equivalent

As Track B Approved Instructors, we deliver the state‑approved 50‑hour curriculum required for the Track B certification pathway. All course materials, textbooks, and handouts are included.

Completing an Approved Course does not grant certification. Graduates must submit a separate application for CPSS certification through the NCCPSS Program. The certification fee is $20

50 Hours Face to Face Training for the NC Certified Peer Support Specialist Certification.

Weekday classes: Monday Through Saturday: 9am to 6pm.

Weekend classes: Thursday and Friday 5:30pm to 9:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 6pm. For 2 consecutive weekends
